To earn extra credit you must write a two-paragraph response on the presentation or film, or event you attended. The first paragraph summarizes the event. The second paragraph relates the event to course readings and lecture. Each extra credit is worth 3 points. Extra Credit will be accepted up to the last day of class.

6) 2008 Women of Color Symposium
Friday Feb. 29th at 7pm, Ms. Sylvia Guerrero will deliver the keynote address at the WSU Coalition for Women Student's 2008 Women of Color Symposium. After the brutal murder of her transgender daughter, Gwen Amber Araujo, Ms. Guerrero became an activist and educator for the rights of LGBT youth. She has dedicated her life to speaking to young people in public schools and in community forums so that other young LGBT people do not have to face the violence and bigotry that killed her daughter. Join us as we welcome this powerful woman to Pullman, WA.
